We're Hiring: Direct Support Professional (DSP) - No Experience Required!

Do Good Gardens is seeking a dedicated Indoor Farm Worker to help us grow fresh, sustainable produce all year round. Our mission goes beyond farming - we're committed to making a positive impact on people, the planet, and our community by using modern indoor techniques such as hydroponic and vertical farming to grow herbs, spices, and lettuce.

• Seeding herbs, spices, and lettuce in trays or hydroponic systems, and transplanting seedlings into growing units.
• Checking plants daily for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and reporting issues.
• Operating hydroponic or drip irrigation setups to ensure proper water and nutrient delivery.
• Removing unwanted growth, thinning crowded plants, and pruning herbs for optimal yield.
• Cutting lettuce heads, trimming herbs, and collecting spices at peak maturity while maintaining quality standards.
• Cleaning harvested produce, sorting by quality, and packing for distribution to markets or restaurants.
• Using farm machinery, lighting systems, and climate-control technology to maintain optimal growing conditions.
• Sanitizing tools, trays, and workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.

• Familiarity with basic tools or equipment (irrigation systems, lighting, or climate controls).
• Background in warehouse, production, or other hands-on jobs requiring physical stamina.
• Interest or studies in agriculture, sustainability, or environmental science.

Physical, Environmental, & Emotional Demands:

• Indoor farm setting: Work performed in climate-controlled facilities with regulated temperature, humidity, and lighting.
• Exposure to water and nutrients : Regular contact with hydroponic systems, irrigation lines, and cleaning solutions.
• Noise levels: Moderate background noise from fans, pumps, and equipment.
• Protective gear: Occasional use of gloves, aprons, or masks to maintain food safety and sanitation.
• Cleanliness standards: Strict hygiene requirements to prevent contamination of crops.
